"The soprano Jehanne Amzal stands out for her straight, pure projection, her crystalline intonation shining in the high notes. Her Latin pronunciation is impeccable, with elegant phrasing that blends into her velvety timbre."
She is a laureate of the Concours International de Chant Léopold Bellan and a semi-finalist of the Concours Corneille. She has received support from the Fondation Royaumont and was generously supported by the Franco-Swiss Rippas Foundation. Jehanne studied early music performance at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, after earning a Bachelor’s degree from the Royal Northern College of Music, followed by studies at Université Paris 8 and the Conservatoire de Paris (CRR).
Future engagements will lead her to perform with A Nocte Temporis under Reinoud Van Mechelen at the Potsdam Baroque Festival, and at the Opéra Royal de Versailles with La Chapelle Harmonique directed by Valentin Tournet, as well as with Orkester Nord and Martin Wåhlberg.
